Jul 17 2011 - Burpee Garden Trellis (netting) – Avoid this product!
Way back in my first garden post this season, I mentioned the netting I bought from Burpee for my trellises.
Well, I’m sorry I bought it and would NOT recommend using this particular netting. I’m about 3.5 months into my season (100 days today!) and the netting is basically disintegrating. I thought it might be the weight of my cucumber plants, even though the netting is rated for a breaking weight of 60lbs, but this stuff is breaking in places where there’s no weight on it what-so-ever.
I went back to the website and read some reviews from 2010-2011…exact same problem. Netting disintegrates, falling apart, etc. Before 2010 it seemed like the perfect product with 5-star ratings across the board. They must have changed something because this netting is now crap…don’t expect it to last through one season. Put your money into something else.
